“We believe Christ the King provides an unbelievable opportunity for children to receive a strong education and cultivate a solid faith. This opportunity will create the foundation for success and a fulfilling life.”

We are a pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade Catholic school that prepares students to be productive and contributing citizens in a global society through rigorous and relevant opportunities.

Our students’ strong work ethic and critical thinking skills equip them to explore, engage, elaborate, and evaluate real world problems.

For over half a century, Christ the King Catholic School has devoted itself to creating the material and spiritual conditions for the full development of the minds, bodies and souls of the thousands of children entrusted to us.

We have achieved this through a studied program of taking human knowledge, and anchoring it in a rich cultural academic heritage. Our ultimate goal is to prepare each child to realize his or her full mental potential, to enlarge his or her spiritual life, and to increase his or her capacity for mutual and self-respect.

"The entire administration and families who surround our children provide an overall sense of community. Being a part of CKCS means being a part of a family, and with them all things are possible."

We believe that Christ is the center of our school environment. He is the unseen, but ever-present, teacher in our classes, the model for our faculty and inspiration of our children and their caregivers. Christ the King Catholic School believes in the freedom, value, dignity and integrity of its students. Catholic schools integrate faith with learning and with all of life.

There is an emphasis on prayer, respect and the development of Christian behavior. Religion is taught to each student who attends Christ the King School. Catholic textbooks and supplementary material for these classes are approved and recommended by the Diocese of Yakima.

Second graders are prepared for the reception of the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist by their teacher and their parents. We believe that caregivers have the primary responsibility for their children's education, and therefore expect them to play an active part in school life. The parish and school community complements the caregivers' role. Together we work to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

All students participate in liturgies and prayer services. Liturgies are prepared by students with the help of their teachers. School Masses are held weekly. We invite parents to join the parish school community for these Masses and liturgies.

“We transferred our son from public school five years ago, and have never regretted our decision. Christ the King Catholic School is so much more than the building where our children learn math, reading and science.”

Mission Statement: Christ the King Catholic School exists as a center of learning where individuals' values are recognized and their God-given talents and powers are given responsible direction. Our goals are growth in faith, excellence in education, and development of the unique potentials of each student.
